Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before purchasing your holiday.

Making a reservation and payment

On receipt of your reservations request, Far East Tours will reserve your holiday as per your signed instructions on the booking form.  Your reservation is only confirmed once an invoice is dispatched to you or your travel agent confirming your travel details.  It is important to check the invoice to ensure that all the details are exactly as you requested.  It is the responsibility of Far East Tours to provide you with the holiday as confirmed in your invoice.   Far East Tours require a non-refundable deposit of R500 per person (for all bookings made more than 6 weeks prior to departure) within 7 days from confirmation.  If the deposit is not received by Far East Tours, we (Far East Tours) reserve the right to consider your booking cancelled and to apply the appropriate cancellation charges.  This rule will also apply if Far East Tours have not received full payment by the due date.  All bookings made less than 6 weeks and more than 2 weeks prior to departure require a non-refundable deposit of R500 per person at the time of reservation and full payment within 3 days of confirmation.  All bookings made within 1 to 2 weeks prior to departure require a non-refunable deposit of R1000 per person (or land package price if less than R1000) at time of reservation and full payment within 24 hours of confirmation.

Where a booking is made within 1 week prior to departure, full payment is required before the reservation can be processed.  Please note that the above clauses apply to the Far East Tours land portion of your holiday - air fare payments are subject to the rules pertaining to the specific airfare and airline.  Note:  Until full payment is received, your entire booking is subject to currency fluctuation.

Immigration, Health and Travel Insurance

You should enquire about any passport, visa or health requirements for countries you intend visiting.  Your travel agent will be able to assist you with all details in obtaining the necessary documentation.  It is ultimately the passengers' responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of valid passports together with health documents and any visas that may be required.

Cancellation and Amendment

Should you, for any reason, wish to cancel your reservation, you must advise your travel agent in writing.   The cancellation letter in all possible instances, must be signed by the person who made the original booking.  In case of cancellation the fees will be calculated as set out in the table below.

 2-4 weeks prior to departure 60% of tour price
 1-2 weeks prior to departure 80% of tour price
 Less than 1 week prior to departure  full price  

Exceptions apply on certain products.
Note:  Air ticket cancellations are subject to airline policies.
Note:  All cancellations charges are subject to VAT.

Amendments to your confirmed reservation are allowed up to 2 weeks prior to departure.  Any amendments to your confirmed reservation must be submitted in writing to your travel agent.  If your reservation is amended on your request, any charges and/or increases in the original price will immediately be added to your total package price.  Each time a confirmed booking is amended on your request, Far East Tours will charge a fee of R100 per person per amendment.  In the event that Far East Tours incurs any charges higher than set out in the paragraphs above, the difference will be added to your total charges.  Amendment and cancellation fees are payable immediately and may be deducted from your payment.  We strongly advise that you do not travel without travel insurance.   Please consult your travel agent.

Travel Documentation

Your travel documentation will only be released on receipt of full payment, duly completed booking form and any further documentation requested by Far East Tours.  Please check your travel documentation carefully on receipt.

Any claims resulting from incorrect documentation will not be considered.

Children Policy

Children policy varies depending on the destination.  Generally children under the age of 12 will be eligible for a children's discount when accompanied by two adults.

Holiday Prices and Brochure Information

All holiday prices quoted and/or on this portal are based on prices and exchange rates prevailing at time of print.   Far East Tours reserves the right to adjust the holiday prices at any time, without prior notice, in accordance with any price increase of any of the holiday package components or adjustments to exchange rates subsequent to date of print.  All information quoted is checked to the best of our ability and is correct at time of print.   Far East Tours are not responsible for any changes which occur subsequent to the publication of this portal.   Once your holiday is paid in full you will not be subject to price changes.

Itinerary Variations

While every effort is made to maintain your itinerary as confirmed, Far East Tours reserves the right to alter your itinerary due to unusual and/or unforseeable circumstances outside Far East Tours' control including (but not limited to) war, riots, civil unrest, government action or airport regulations,natural or other disasters, weather conditions, technical problems with transportation, technical breakdown in a hotel or apartment.

Changes made due to these circumstances do not constitute any reason for refund.  While Far East Tours will in these circumstances offer every assistance possible, all additional charges (such as additional accommodation and/or similar) will be for the account of the passenger.

Refunds and Unused Services

No refunds will be made for no shows or any unused service irrespective of whether they form part of the basic inclusive tour price or whether they are in respect of pre-booked optional travel arrangements.

Endorsement

All suppliers endorsing this portal do not, by virtue of endorsement of these products, accept responsibility for any loss or damage outside the provisions of their terms and conditions.

Air Tickets and Reconfirmation

Please note that all air tickets issued on your behalf shall constitute the sole contract between yourself and the airline.  Please be reminded that it is your responsibility to re-confirm all your flights at least 72 hours prior to your departure.  Please check well in advance the check-in and/or departure times for all your flights, transfers and tours with your travel agent or any representative of Far East Tours (as indicated on your vouchers) are correct.

Responsibility

Far East Tours endeavour to do their best to make sure your holiday arrangements are satisfactory.  However, we will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, delay, expense, inconvenience or loss of enjoyment resulting directly or indirectly from any act negligence, default or omission on the part of Far East Tours, any person or corporation or arising from any event beyond Far East Tours control.  When we make your booking with the suppliers of travel, entertainment and accommodation facilities, Far East Tours is acting as a booking agent for the suppliers.  The provision of those facilities of service is subject to the terms and conditions of our contract with the supplier and you should make yourself aware of those terms and conditions.  Far East Tours in some instances do not have control of the said suppliers and Far East Tours do not accept liability for errors and omissions of said suppliers.

Consumer Claims

All claims should be lodged with your Travel Agent within 30-days of return from your holiday enclosing supporting documentation.
